Features of etiquette in India.
A business meeting in India most often begins with a light handshake. But do not give a hand to the person, if he did not reach it out first. The fact is that in India, sometimes, there is still an ancient tradition of shaking your own hands, nodding your head or bowing to a person who is welcomed. Such a shaking of your own hands is most likely caused by hygienic considerations. Also in the country is delineated scope of the left and right hand. Food is taken with the right hand, items are indicated, people are touched, things are accepted and served, since the left hand is considered “unclean”

Дело в том, что в Индии, иногда, еще сохраняется древняя традиция пожимать свои собственные руки, кивая головой или кланяясь человеку, которого приветствуют. Такое пожимание собственных рук, скорее всего, вызвано гигиеническими соображениями. Также в стране разграничивается область применения левой и правой руки. Правой рукой принимается пища, указываются предметы, прикасаются к людям, принимаются и подаются вещи, так как левая рука считается "нечистой".
