The  three major parties are the conservative party, the new labour party, and the democratic liberal party.
The largest cities are Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, Edinburgh, Belfast and Cardiff.
The chief river is the Thames River 
Britain's major industries include  iron and steel engineering, shipbuilding, electronics.

Sometimes people get into funny situations. And each person (0) _behaves_(behave) in a different way. Yesterday something very strange (1) (happened) to me too. I (2)(picked up) the phone to make a call and found out that I (3)___was__listening to a conversation between two strangers. They (4)(were talking) about attacking the president. I immediately (5)(phoned) the police who (6)(traced ) the two men and (7)(questioned) them. It (8)___(turned out) that they were actors and they (9)(were practising) their lines on the phone! I (10)(felt) very silly, but the actors (11)(gave) me tickets to their play as they were so pleased I had really believed them
