In 1723, the Chinese emperor Kangxi, who had fought with the Dzungars for a long time, dies. After that, the road to the territory of the Kazakh Khanate is open. And in 1723, a massive Dzungar invasion began, led by Tsewan-Rabdan. The first to take the blow are the Kazakhs of Semirechye and Priirtyshie. In 1724-25 Turkestan, Tashkent and Sairam were captured. Also, all hostilities were aggravated by the fact that the jute began. And people died not only from the raids of the Dzungars, but also stupidly from hunger. 4. The reason is simple: lack of political unity. The Kazakh Khanate was very vulnerable, since the zhuz system was in effect.
