3 GRAMMAR Participle clauses
Choose the correct meaning.
1 Shane saw posters showing his picture.
a) Shane was showing his picture when he saw posters.
b) Shane saw posters which showed his picture.
2 Most kids breaking the law get into trouble.
a) Most kids break the law and get into trouble.
b) Most kids who break the law get into trouble.
3 The people living here are afraid of crime.
a) The people who live here are afraid of crime.

5 The police saw a girl spraying graffiti.
