Smolensk is one of the most ancient cities of Russia. It was founded in the year 863. In September 2013, Smolensk celebrated its 1150th anniversary. There are also a lot of schools, hospitals, shopping centres, squares and parks in Smolensk. There are two airports, three automobile bridges across the Dnieper, a lot of buses, trolleybuses and rout taxies in the city, and also a railway station and a bus station.
