Emily Dickinson was one of the three children of Edward Dickinson, a US congressman. She was born in the USA and she grew up in Amherst, Massachusetts. She did not like social activities and she lived a lonely life in Amherst. Before Emily Dickinson was 30 she had become a recluse. She did not leave her father's house and had few visitors. She wrote beautiful poems and very few people and knew about it. Before Emily died she had written more than 1000 poems. In 1886 she made her famous all over. Her poems the world.
