Imagine you live in a small fishing town. It’s dark outside, and you’re at home in your cottage with some friends. It’s nice and warm. You’re sitting in a comfortable chair in front of the fire.

But outside there’s a terrible storm. The wind is throwing the rain against the window. Not far away you can hear the angry sea.

Suddenly the telephone rings. You jump up and answer it. Somewhere out at sea a ship is sinking.

Ten minutes later the lifeboat went south-west and found the ship there. They started to pull the motorboat, but there was a lot of water in the boat and it sank.  It wasn’t easy for the lifeboat men to find the crew in the mountains of black water, but at least the lifeboat men found them and pulled them on
