Armenian culinary traditions originate from ancient times. It is known that the Armenians had understanding of the processes of fermentation and baking even 2500 years ago. Cooking traditions of many Armenian dishes remain unchanged. 
Traditional and continuity of Armenian cookery show different - for example, to use an old kitchen appliances and cooking technologies. 
The names of many Armenian dishes associated with the name of the dishes in which they are prepared, for example: putuk, kchuch, TAPAC.
