My grandfather was 96 years old and he had a long and interesting life. He travelled a lot,especially at the  Far East.He saw Taj Mahal in India and the Pyramids in Egypt. He hunted lions in Africa and rode on a camel across the Sahara desert.He said that the most beautiful place he had been was the Katmandu in Nepal.He met the Qeen in several occasions. In 1959 he was a soldier in New Zeland whe she came to visit and in 1972 he went to the garden party in the  Buckingham palace.He was married twice. His first wife died when she was 32. He met his second wife while he was travelling round France on his bike. He and his wife Eleanor had been maried for 50 years. They had been living in the same cottage in the country since they got married. He said that he had never been ill in his life. The secret of the good health accordibg to my grandfather is exercise.He goes swimming every day. He have been doing that since he was a boy.He also has a glass of whisky every night. Perhaps that was his secret!
