You asked me how we are preparing for the Victory Day holiday?

For our country this is a huge holiday. Usually, we have a huge parade on the Red Square, various troops are passing and vehicles are passing by. Our president is giving a solemn speech. As for me, in our school there are various events dedicated to this holiday. I hope I answered your question.

My sporting hero is Florence Joyner. Florence Joyner was an American track and field athlete. She is considered the fastest woman of all time.

She was born on December 21, 1959, in Los Angeles, California. Joyner began running at the age of 7. At the age of 14, she won her first award.

Joyner made her Olympic debut in 1984, at the Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles. There, she won a silver medal for the 200-meter run and became known for her world-record speed.

At the 1988 Olympic trials, Florence set a world record in the 100-metre sprint (10.49 seconds). Later that year at the Olympics in Seoul, she captured three gold medals and a silver. After the 1988 Olympics, Joyner retired from competition. Joyner died on September 21, 1998, at her home in Mission Viejo, California.

Florence Joyner still holds the world records in the 100- and 200-meter events, with times of 10.49 seconds and 21.34 seconds, respectively.
