Put the following transitions in the appropriate places. a My Great Vacation A lot of things go into making a vacation really great, an interesting location , fun activities and good food, and the Outer Banks in North Carolina has it all. Visiting the Outer Banks was the best vacation I have ever had. we had such a good time when we were there that we decided to extend our vacation for a couple of days since none of us wanted to go home! The Outer Banks is a very interesting location. It is a thin strip of land running parallel to the coast of North Carolina, and there is water on both sides of it. One body of water is the ocean, and the water between the Outer Banks and the coast is called the sound. A lot of this strip of land is covered with sand dunes. there is so much sand that the dunes often shift right into the road! Kitty Hawk is where the Wright brothers flew their first successful airplane, and there is a great museum there where you can learn all about it. I would say that the Outer Banks are definitely interesting! There is no shortage of fun activities to do. We sometimes went to a race track where I was allowed to drive the car really fast around the track by myself. I was a really good driver. I beat my brother three times! We wanted to go on a dolphin cruise; we were not able to get tickets because we didn't buy them in advance and the dolphin cruise is very popular. we went fishing, and I caught a mahi all by myself! It was the biggest fish that anyone on the boat with us caught that day. We spent a lot of time on the beach; we were usually very hungry by the end of the day. when we were done having fun each day, we got to sample the awesome North Carolina cuisine. We soon had a favorite restaurant. I had fish and chips (French fries) every night for dinner. This restaurant had great desserts; they were all homemade. I know it doesn't sound that special, but we got lots of sandwich stuff at the local grocery store and took a picnic out to the beach every day. When you're out in the fresh air, getting exercise, there is nothing better than a good old ham sandwich at lunch time; if you don't mind there being a little sand in it! I highly recommend the Outer Banks as a vacation spot.
