It (be) the first english lesson at a small school after the summer holidays. the lesson (be) about the seasons of the year. there (be) four seasons in a year, (say) the teacher. they (be) spring, summer, autumn and winter. in spring it (be) warm and everything (begin) to grow. in summer it (be) hot and there (be) a lot of flowers in the fields and garden, in the parks and woods. the farmers (work) all day long on their farms. in autumn there (be) a lot of vegetables and fruit. in winter it (be) cold, it often (rain). sometimes there (be) snow on the ground the teacher (stop) and (look) at one of the pupils. "stop talking, tom", he (say) "now listen to my question. you (can) tell me what the best time for apples (be)? " "yes, sir", answer tom. "it (be) when the farmer (not be) at home and there (be) no dog in the garden".

Well, let me tell you a few words about my summer holidays. What shall I begin with? Perhaps, I'll tell you about my first visit to the Black Sea resort. Have you ever been to Sochi? It's difficult to imagine, but personally I have never visited Sochi before. I have never been to the Black sea before,either.Can you beleive it? I have visited nearly every country of Europe, but I have never been to our country's resorts. Sochi is fantastic! The climate is mild and the sea is perfect. Would you like to come and join us? I think, you will. If you haven't decided yet where to go, listen to my advice! Visit Sochi! Go to the Black Sea Resort! Visit the Olympic Park! Visit Krasnaya Polyana! Enjoy yourself there! I hope my advice will be of help. I really enjoy my holiday here and I hope that everyone who comes to Sochi will have the same feeling. I'll never forget my stay in Sochi. Do you beleive me?

One day Robin Hood was walking through the forest with his men and saw a young man. The young man was dressed in a very beautiful red coat and was singing merrily. The next morning Robin Hood saw the same young man without his fine coat. The young man looked very sad. Robin Hood sent Little John to fetch the young man. When the young man approached Robin Hood, he asked him, " What is your name?" The young man replied that his name was Allan-a-Dale. Then Robin Hood asked:"Do you have any money?" - I have only five shillings and a ring that I have kept for seven years. I wanted to marry a nice young girl. I was going to marry her yesterday, but her father is against it. He wants to marry her off to a rich old man. Now I'm unhappy."

Robin Hood asked the young man, " What will you give me and my merry people if we help you get your girl back?" Allan-a-Dale had no money or gold, but he promised to be a faithful servant of Robin Hood. So Robin Hood decided to help Allan-a-Dale, and they all went to the town where the girl lived. When they arrived in the city, they saw the girl that Allan loved. She was going to church with a rich old man. Robin Hood and his men entered the church and asked the priest to marry the girl to Allan-a-Dale.

When the priest refused, Robin Hood took off his coat and put it on little John. So Little John married the young men, and they returned together to jolly Greenwood.
