Victory Day
hello today I'm going to talk to you about Victory Day is one of the most remarkable social events in Russia - Victory Day. Traditionally celebrated on May 9th. The holiday celebrates the surrender of Nazi Germany to the Soviet Union in World War II in 1945. This marked the end of the Great Patriotic War for the USSR, which lost about 25 million citizens in four years, fighting and hungry.
Every year all cities across the country have many couples and celebrations. Despite the fact that the holiday is celebrated cheerfully, May 9 is a sad day for most of our settlements. Many people have lost close relatives and friends in this terrible war. Almost every family in Russia has a face that has not returned from the battlefield. A large number of people were seriously injured and disabled. On this day, we are grateful to our Sapirons, those who sacrificed their lives for us. That is why we are trying to celebrate this day with distinction.
