The reason we learn English is that nowadays it is the most popular and wide spoken language in the world. We got used to calling English an "international language", because it's exactly the language we speak with foreigners, that's exactly the language we use to communicate with anybody who is not familiar with our native languages. So, learning English is the main opportunity to be able to understand the world and to communictate with people froam abroad.
