A promise is a promise.
You all might have heard this phrase. A promise is a promise, means that a promise could not be broken, since you promised someone something, you will have to do it. To my mind, I think you may break your promise only if something happened ( for example, you promised your to drive him to the other city, but you were sent to a business trip and can’t keep the promise you made, so you might tell your friend that you can’t do a favor for him, he’ll probably understand).
But, sometimes the promises still cannot be broken, or might be some people that will force you to keep the promise, so what can you do? However this person doesn’t understand that you also have a personal life, that something bad might have happened and you are unable to keep the promise, so you should stop contacting him or her.
And lastly, try to keep the promise, we’ll if you’re able to. And if not, you might lose a contact with the person you trusted a lot. You never know if he or she could’ve helped you in the future, with your job for example. And remember this: A promise is a promise, it shall never be broken unless you aren’t unable to keep it. Never make promises with people you don’t know or don’t trust, it may end in trouble for you!
