They say it's important for a person to speak english nowadays because it's popular all over the world. what is your opinion?

I think is very inportant to speak in English, because in all the world ,in Europe, UK, USA and in a lot another countsd also every one speak english.
For exsampel , u came to Norway and u don'''t understend norwegian , but u know English, so u can speak with people :D
