Самостоятельная часть речи, либо (в зависимости от точки зрения) особая форма глагола, которая обладает свойствами как глагола, так и имени прилагательного. Обозначает признак предмета по действию и отвечает на вопросы какой?, каков?, что делающий?, что делавший?, что сделавший? Глагольные признаки причастия — это категория вида, залога, а также особенная предикативная форма времени. Адъективными (связанными с именем прилагательным) признаками причастия являются категории рода, числа и падежа возможность образования кратких форм у страдательных причастий, синтаксическая функция согласованного определения. Кроме того, причастия склонны переходить в прилагательные.
