Since I am good at designing computer programs, my teacher recommended trying a job in a computer company which may want me to do certain courses for my position so I could develop and get a promotion. I`m a great admirer of detective stories and Hercule Poirrot is my role model. He is very shrewd and wise and I can`t but admire his skills of a detective. It influenced the choice of my future job, so I decided to be a lawyer, the most exciting and interesting job for me. I wanted to learn more about it and find out if I was suited to this profession. (Я великий шанувальник детективних історій, і Еркюль Пуаро - мій зразок для наслідування. Він дуже розумний і мудрий, і я не можу не захоплюватися його детективними здібностями. Це вплинуло на вибір моєї майбутньої роботи, тому я вирішив стати юристом, найбільш цікавою та захоплюючою для мене роботою. Мені хотілося дізнатися більше про це і з’ясувати, чи опаную я цю професію.)
To begin with, I started looking for a job in a law firm. I knew that all I could do was basic office duties, such as what an office junior or a runner would do, but at least I would be getting experience and finding out if I liked this working environment. So I was accepted as an office junior at a law firm only a 15-minute walk from my house. (Для початку я почав шукати роботу в юридичній фірмі. Я знав, що все, що я можу зробити, - це основні службові обов'язки, наприклад, те, що робитиме офісний молодший чи початківець, але, принаймні, я отримав би досвід та дізнався, чи подобається мені це робоче середовище. Тож мене прийняли на посаду молодшого офісу в юридичній фірмі лише в 15 хвилинах ходьби від мого будинку.)
I loved it. I saw for real how cases were solved, how evidence was gathered in the whole process. I learnt it was very hard work but the rewards were worth it. I could see that this job answered all the traditional requirements: job satisfaction, career possibilities, good working conditions and stability. This assured me that I wanted to go into this profession. (Я любив це. Я реально бачив, як вирішуються справи, як збираються докази упродовж усього процесу. Я дізнався, що це була дуже важка робота, але нагороди того варті. Reading is the activity I like the best and I can spend hours on end reading and discussing books with peers. Seeing my passion for reading, my granny recommended me to choose the profession of a librarian. She says it is a very challenging and rewarding job at the same time. You can not only enrich your knowledge but involve others into this (Читання - це діяльність, яка мені найбільше подобається, і я можу витрачати години на читання та обговорення книг з однолітками гаючи моє захоплення читанням, бабуся порадила мені обирати професію бібліотекаря. Вона каже, що це дуже складна і водночас корисна робота. Ти можеш не тільки збагатити свої знання, але залучати до цього інших).
