Ivan Kupala or Midsummer night celebration starts on the eve of the 24th of June every summer. It used to be popukar among East Slavs. It celebrates solstice and beauty of the nature. People make fires and jump over them, make wreathes and collect herbs. Herbs collected over this night are thought to have magic properties.
